The 2023 street parade will be Wednesday, September 20th  at 6 p.m. The documents below give you all the information you need regarding this year’s theme, rules & regulations, and judging. If you are interested in participating or sponsoring, click on the form links below.

Street Parade Information

The Solanco Fair Parade is a major highlight of the Solanco Fair. As the parade proceeds through Quarryville Borough, crowds line the streets and are presented a wide range of participants, including school bands, local organizations and businesses, antique tractors and much more. Anyone who travels through Quarryville on Parade Day can’t miss noticing all of the lawn chairs lining the streets.

Parade Entries

Please review all documents. Please tell the individual that will be driving your organization or business entry in the Solanco Fair Parade when, where, and from which direction they are to arrive at our parade staging areas.This process goes much smoother if all participates have the information they need.

Please Note – help us reduce the number of cars – please review below. Also on the Rules and Instruction sheets.

When dropping off parade participates you must use the back entrance to the fair ground parking area which is on 472 or the designated drop off area in at the corner of Hess Street and Park Avenue (see map included in this email). Do not attempt to enter the main float area to drop off parade participates. The main float area will be open only to parade vehicles! PARK AVE will be CLOSED From Hess Street to 222

 IMPORTANT NOTE TO FAIR VISITORS:
During the Parade, the main streets in Quarryville are closed to traffic during the Parade. Detour signs are posted and traffic is monitored.

Baby Parade Information

This year’s Baby Parade is Thursday, September 19, 2024. Registration is at 6 PM, parade at 7 PM.

Rain Schedule – In the case of rain during  fair week the below schedule will be followed. In case of rain Wednesday the Street Parade is rescheduled for Thursday night and the Baby Parade will be held Friday morning at 10 AM.  Registration at 9 AM, prejudging at 9:15 AM.  Or, if it rains Thursday night, the Baby Parade will be rescheduled for Friday morning.  If the Baby Parade is rescheduled Friday, it will be held indoors in case of bad weather.
